WWE RAW 5/27/2013: 5 Things We Learned

2. Curtis Axel: Still Not Over

joe hening Curtis Axel, again this week for the second RAW in a row, was featured in the main event television bout, this time against the WWE Champion in a non-title match. The result was another consecutive and confusing non-finish, with the predictable Ryback interference for John Cena. Try as hard as they can, but WWE Creative continues to swing and miss with the reintroduction of this character. And for the most part, it's not Axel's fault. The guy can certainly perform, he is more than capable of executing in the ring. And while his mic work is still coming together, it's just not his fault that he's been placed so high on the card in such ridiculous situations against the biggest names of the sport. While we hope the Axel situation will start coming together over the next few weeks, it still feel likes WWE Creative continues to throw stuff against the wall in hopes of something sticking, and the last two RAW main events are prime examples.
