WWE Raw: 8 Things To Expect Tonight (July 11)
7. Potential GM Appearance
In recent weeks, we’ve seen a number of former General Managers return to Monday Night Raw, including Teddy Long, John Laurinaitis, and most recently Vickie Guerrero.
Their appearances have followed a fairly consistent formula; ex-GM somehow finds themselves on stage, stakes a claim for running one of the shows, but is ultimately escorted away by security. It might not be very imaginative but it’s been fun to see some blasts from the past.
But no conversation about former GMs would be complete without the mention of Eric Bischoff.
It may just be wishful thinking on my part, but wouldn’t it make sense to save the best for last in this parade of authority figures from the past? And his recent appearances on the WWE Network, not to mention the newly-released DVD feature on the man, suggests there’s at least some kind of working relationship already in place there.
Of course, I’m guessing the infamous Anonymous GM’s laptop is also probably available, so maybe I shouldn’t be getting my hopes up about hearing this glorious theme once again...
