WWE Raw: 8 Things To Expect Tonight (July 11)

1. The Ratings

Okay, so you can’t watch out for this during the show, but keep your eyes peeled for an announcement in the days that follow Raw.

Last week saw the setting of an all-time record low for Raw on Monday, largely because of the date it fell on. And admittedly, as far as July 4th ratings dips go, it wasn’t a fairly drastic one. But it's noticeable that in previous post-July 4th shows, the ratings haven’t quite been able to recover to the pre-July 4th levels.

In 2005, the July 11th show got a 3.55 rating, down from 4.4 on June 27th. And in 2011, July 11th posted a 2.9, down from the June 27th 3.13. If that trend continues, we might be set for one of the worst rated non-holiday Raws in all of WWE history.

Sure, Vince is back, and there’s a lot of action planned for the show, but there remains a very real chance that we could see a worryingly low Raw rating during this pivotal point in the company’s history.

Prove me wrong, WWE.
