Daniel Bryan joining The Wyatt Family in late 2013 was the latest diversionary measure for a company still utterly desperate to distract almost an entire fanbase from what it really wanted. Like every other effort, it had the opposite result.

Using the confines of a steel cage to trap Bray like a rat, Bryan kicked 'The Eater Of Worlds' all over the shop and literally shed himself of the gimmick by tearing away the janitor overalls he'd adorned as a member of the group.

The delicately paced 'YES!' chants grew with every attack, intensifying further as Bryan scaled the cage. Announcers went silent as cameras pulled back to reveal an audience in euphoric unison with his primal yells. The incredible scene occurred just two weeks before the infamous 2014 Royal Rumble, yet WWE still persisted with Plan A. They deserved the disdain.
