WWE RAW Review: 5 Things We Learned (April 28th)

3. Ric Flair Returns...And Swerves Evolution

In a segment that seemingly and surprisingly fell flat on live television this week, Ric Flair returned to interrupt Evolution and The Shield, only to offer his endorsement of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins by the segments end. It was a swerve against his boys in Evolution...or was it? Flair can be seen in the footage endorsing The Shield, and then giving a wink to Triple H as he turns away to leave the ring. While the segment wasn't over with the live crowd, I enjoyed it, and Flair's involvement gives this matchup on Sunday a needed extra dose of intrigue. http://youtu.be/Be1ce_f_OCk Ric Flair was a founding member of The Four Horsemen, and that group was excellence in professional wrestling personified. Some 20 years later, he forms a group with Triple H and two relative nobodies who went on to become WWE icons and rule WWE with their own brand of excellence and an iron fist during their run several years back. Sunday's Extreme Rules showdown with The Shield will give Evolution another chance to reclaim their past glory, with The Shield being as hot as they have ever been thus far in their relatively short WWE careers.
