WWE RAW Review: A Great Show Overshadowed By A New Belt

THE ROCK€™S CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION The Rock comes to the ring, accompanied by the University of Louisiana-Lafayette band. Immediately, my eyes were drawn to a covered item sitting on a pedestal in the ring. Could it be what I think it is? And yes, it was. It€™s what everyone is talking about today. The Rock gave a promo about being champion, driving through Louisiana, etc. We were all just waiting for The Rock to reveal what is on the pedestal. The Rock cut a good promo about not wanting to go to Wrestlemania with Cena€™s Spinner title. And then, finally, it was revealed. new-wwe-belt At first, I was taken aback by it. It€™s huge and pretty ugly. However, the morning after, I realize it might not be so bad. It€™s definitely a change. While everyone is discussing what they will do about the Brahma Bulls on the side plates, I assume they can be changed with whoever becomes champion. The replica belt they are selling actually has globes on the side that look better than the bulls. It looks like we will just have to get used to this one and accept that prestigious looking titles are probably gone forever. John Cena comes out to confront the Rock but is attacked from behind by CM Punk. Punk hits Cena with the spinner title before tossing it aside. He points to the Rock and declares that €œI want that one,€ referring to the new title. Maybe they are setting up a triple threat match. Your guess is as good as mine. All in all, a great show last night that is sadly being overshadowed by the debut of the new title. The Road to Wrestlemania is starting to take shape, yet there are still plenty of unanswered questions (most notably, where the hell is the Undertaker?). What do you think? Did you think last night was a good episode or did the new belt take it down a notch? Also, what do you think of the new belt. Drop a comment below!
