Despite only just cashing in his MITB briefcase on Sunday night at Elimination Chamber, The Miz's days with the WWE Championship around his waist appear to be numbered. After the initial celebration of his world title victory opened last night's Raw, things quickly took a turn when 'The A Lister' was reminded by Bobby Lashley & MVP of the deal they had agreed; Lashley was owed a title shot.
Elsewhere on the show we saw a thrilling contest between newly-crowned US champ Riddle and John Morrison, Asuka lost a tooth as well as the match when she tagged with Charlotte Flair against Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, and Randy Orton coughed up black goo as part of his ongoing issues with Alexa Bliss and whatever is left of 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt.
Raw concluded with a hoss battle as Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman clashed to see who would challenge The Miz on Monday Night Raw next week after the champion failed to deal with the CEO of The Hurt Business' ultimatum. Lashley emerged victorious in a dominant showing against the former Universal champion; kicking out of the running powerslam, pinning him, and making his pass out post-match. He even laid out Miz and stood tall with the belt as the show went off the air, a possible sign of things to come?
