WWE wrestler Veer looks to be heading in a new direction.

A vignette featuring the Indian up-and-comer aired on last night's episode of Raw. Though thin on details, at the very least, it saw the 33-year-old given a new surname. He'll be going by Veer Mahaan from now on.

WWE is yet to confirm when, exactly, Mahaan will return to Raw, though this was his second vignette in as many weeks.

Veer was surprisingly split from stablemates Jinder Mahal and Shanky in this year's WWE Draft. One of several groups to be sent their separate ways in WWE's annual roster reshuffle, Veer ended up staying on Raw while Mahal and Shanky were sent to SmackDown. Mahaan had featured alongside the duo for the entirety of his main roster run prior to that, with him and Shanky debuting as Jinder's heavies back in May.

Veer has been with WWE since January 2018, when he signed a developmental deal. Initially working under his real name, Rinku Singh, March 2020 saw him form the Indus Sher tag team with Saurav Gurjar, featuring Malcolm Bivens as manager, though their NXT run was short and they were off television by that June.
