WWE Release 9 Superstars - McIntyre, Clay, Aksana & More

7. Evan Bourne

Evan Bourne is a former tag team champion in WWE when he was a part of the Air Boom team with Kofi Kingston. They were very popular for the short time they teamed together. Bourne's WWE career took a turn for the worse in late 2011 when he was suspended for failing a Wellness Test that led to a 30 day suspension. Then a few months later he was suspended for 60 days for failing another test. In March of 2012 he broke his foot in a car accident and he never returned to WWE TV even though it was two years ago. In his case a lot of people figured he would have been released a long time ago. He's apparently healthy now and at 31 years old he should make an impact on the independent wrestling scene as well as in any other promotion he signs with.

6. Brodus Clay

Brodus Clay is a guy that never really lived up to the hype that WWE had for him. He started out on NXT as this monster heel, but he wasn't really that good at it. Then they brought him to the main roster, made him a dancing babyface known as "The Funkasaurus" and he danced before his match. He was paired with the Funkadactyls and he had a bunch of short matches. Once the matches got longer his limitations showed. They tried to revive his career by teaming him with Tensai, but that didn't really work. Then Clay went heel, said he was going to be a "main event playa" and now he's released.
