Robert Roode has been taken off WWE's active roster listing, reports Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

June 2022 hosted Roode's last match for the promotion. The 46-year-old had worked 12 televised matches that year, primarily by his since-released tag team partner Dolph Ziggler's side.

Currently, Roode is working as a producer for WWE, having undergone neck surgery for what sounds like a serious injury in his time away from the company. There is currently no word on whether or not he will return to the ring. Fightful Select reported in April that after undergoing fusion in late 2022, Roode was "... still expected to be out quite some time."

Roode signed with WWE in 2016, quickly climbing the black-and-gold ranks to become NXT Champion through a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura. Moved to the main roster in 2017, he served primarily as a midcard wrestler, though he has captured multiple championships including the United States, SmackDown Tag Team, and Raw Tag Team straps during his time on WWE's bigger television shows.

A wrestler since 1998, Roode broke out through a highly successful TNA run stretching from 2004 until 2016.
