Recent WWE returnee John Cena has described old boss Vince McMahon as an "imperfectly perfect" human being, and says his "poor choices" won't stop John from speaking positively about him.

Cena told The Associated Press: "There’s no way I can go on record and say I don’t love Vince McMahon".

The comeback star, who will work vs. Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 next month, was grilled by interviewers about McMahon's ongoing sexual misconduct allegations. Cena called those "mistakes", but acknowledged that some may view things differently.

On that, JC said that "everyone has the right to have their perspective". However, he also said: "I have the right to mine", and he has a ton of affection for Vince personally. They've grown close over the years, and remained friends even when Cena left WWE's full-time schedule behind to pursue a career in Hollywood.

McMahon even attended the 6 March episode of Raw so he could meet up with John.

Cena defended Vince by saying, "We all make mistakes". Then, he shone the spotlight onto himself by saying he'd also made some "poor decisions" over the years.
