WWE Reverts To Never-Ending Feud On "Season Premiere" SmackDown
This WWE rivalry will never stop. The latest chapter kicked off on SmackDown.
The New Day vs. The Usos is on again.
WWE returned to the feud during Friday's "Season Premiere" episode of SmackDown, and it looks certain that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will challenge Jimmy and Jey for their Undisputed Tag-Team Titles soon.
New Day teamed up with Braun Strowman to beat The Usos and Sami Zayn in a well-received six-man effort on the broadcast. There was some tension between Zayn and Jey (as expected), but the big story here was Kingston and Woods getting another crack at the gold down the line.
Some fans online are already rolling their eyes via Twitter and wondering when WWE will move on from this rivalry.
It did look like The Viking Raiders would become number one contenders after dispatching New Day in a 'Viking Rules' brawl on the 2 September edition, but a foot injury to Erik scrapped those plans. The Raiders are back on TV, but WWE decided to replay the hits by slotting Kofi/Woods in as "new" challengers.
It'd be great if the company could build up some fresh babyface tag-teams for The Usos to work with.
