WWE Rich List: 10 Biggest Fortunes In Wrestling

1. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson - $70 million

The Rock Doc Way ahead of the pack worth a whopping $70 million, The Rock is unique in having made most of his fortune outside the WWE. His Hollywood career as an action hero has earned him millions, and so far in 2013 his films have done over $1 billion at the box office. Earlier this year Rock boasted having one of his movies in the box office top ten for 16 weeks in a row. He is a hugely valuable name, and all that box office gold was going on at the same time as he was appearing in WWE as the marquee match for Wrestlemania 29; an event that grossed an estimated record $72 million (with Rock and Cena as the selling point getting a nice cut of that). In addition to his prolific movie work, Rock has a rich history as a WWE star. From 1998 to 2002 he was a full time wrestler, and credited alongside Steve Austin as a main draw. Merchandise and licensing of Rock's image was vast, Johnson was reaping huge sums of money from his character. Even after leaving wrestling he is still getting big WWE royalty cheques for DVD sales and retrospective usage. The kid who started out with $17 dollars in his pocket and sleeping on second hand mattresses has turned into one of the biggest celebrities in the world. Dwayne Johnson is still working hard, the difference is, he is now doing it with $70 million dollars in his pocket.
