WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29 - John Cena Beats CM Punk To Face The Rock

The Shield

The Shield continued to make waves in the WWE this week, with another excellent promo from the dangerous unit. On Raw they came to the ring to herald their recent victories over some of the biggest names in the locker room such as John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus. They said that whoever stood against them, they would persevere, and at the moment, you cannot argue with that. Out came Sheamus though to challenge them to a scrap, and while that distracted them, Randy Orton, one of their previous victims, crept in to deliver an RKO to Seth Rollins. Then on Smackdown midway through a match between Big Show and Orton, The Shield surrounded the ring. Out came Sheamus to aid Orton, but The Shield still managed to beat them down, until Big Show knocked out Roman Reigns with a punch. The other two Shield members retreated, but then Big Show delivered a chokeslam to Orton, before Sheamus knocked him out of the ring with a Brogue Kick. So quite where that leaves everyone on the road to Wrestlemania is at present unclear. Where does Big Show fit into all of this? Will Sheamus and Orton unite and recruit a third member for a match against The Shield at Wrestlemania? Will WWE continue to put The Shield over as a truly dangerous force in the WWE? Prediction: The Shield to face Sheamus, Orton and one other at Wrestlemania - perhaps it will even set up the rumoured Orton heel turn somehow. I don't see Big Show being involved, instead this was just to continue to push him as a monster who will take out anyone.
