WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29 - The Journey Begins

Brock Lesnar v Triple H

While these two men have not interacted since Brock gave Trips a beating at Summerslam 2012, the build up to a match between the two at Wrestlemania seems all too clear. At the moment it is being done vicariously through Paul Heyman, Brock's manager, and Vince McMahon, Hunter's father-in-law, but a rematch between Brock and Triple H at Wrestlemania seems unavoidable. Vince and Heyman have been at odds throughout the long CM Punk - who Heyman also manages - title reign, and in recent weeks that has intensified as Heyman's dealings with The Shield and Brad Maddox have come to light. On Monday Night Raw Vince told Heyman that on next week's show, the two of them were going to have a fight. Now even Vince cannot be foolish enough to think anyone wants to see a match between the two old promoters, so you can only guess this is going to be a vehicle for Brock and Triple H to get involved. My guess would be that as Vince lays into Heyman, Brock comes out, ready to F5 Vince as he did just weeks ago. That will probably set up Triple H coming out to stop Brock, starting the road to their rematch at Wrestlemania. Brock Lesnar is just about the most captivating thing in the WWE at the moment. He is simply terrifying, and genuinely looks ready and capable to inflict some serious damage and hurt on anyone in the locker room. With rumours he has agreed to stick around beyond the end of his one year contract which expires at Wrestlemania, there are so many places they could go with Brock, with matches against CM Punk and The Rock perhaps the most intriguing. At Wrestlemania though it isn't too hard to imagine Triple H using his sway at the top of WWE to claim the win for himself and level the scores between the two men. The match itself will likely be another brutal affair, and perhaps to set it apart this time we can expect a gimmick, such as last man standing or even Hell in a Cell. Prediction: Could go either way, but it is hard to see Triple H agreeing to tap out to Brock again. So those are the matches that the WWE seem to be building towards at the moment as they take the first steps on the road to Wrestlemania. Even with these matches on the card that could still leave the likes of Sheamus, Ryback, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Big Show, and potentially even CM Punk without a match. As for young talent such as Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes and others, they will hope to steal the spotlight from the mid and undercard at the show of shows. Anything could yet happen, and it is all still to play for on the Road to Wrestlemania XXIX.
