There's something so in-your-face, smarmy and unlikeable about Paul Heyman. Maybe it's the rumours regarding the way he conducted business in ECW, or perhaps it's just that the man is a fine actor. Leaning towards the latter, he's also been able to turn slime into gold on WWE television as of late.

It would have been easy to picture Heyman forced from Brock Lesnar's side once fan response became more favourable towards 'The Beast'. Refreshingly, WWE neglected to pull the trigger on a split, rightly keeping the former head honcho of ECW by his client's side. The results speak for themselves.

At Roadblock, Heyman delivered a wonderful promo early in the show. He did pander to Toronto more than a little, but that's not a new thing for WWE's style of babyfaces. Crucially, Paul has managed to keep much of his character intact, whilst still coming across as someone who is proud to represent someone like Lesnar. He also keenly recognises the popularity Brock has, reveling in the moment. His promo was superb.
