WWE Roadblock: 10 Things We Learned

2. WWE Held Off On A Roman Reigns Return

Scanning various wrestling-related internet forums before Roadblock made for a fascinating experience. Some seemed to be under the impression that Roman Reigns would make his presence felt on the show and attack Triple H. This would have drawn a disqualification, leading to friction between Reigns and Dean Ambrose going forward.

Come Roadblock, the top challenger for the WWE World Heavyweight Title was nowhere to be found. WWE resisted the temptation to have Reigns make a spirited comeback and ambush his fierce rival. Perhaps this is being saved for a coming episode of Monday Night Raw, because the promotion really need to start thinking about bringing back Roman at some point soon.

What was learned at Roadblock appeared to be that WWE feel Dean Ambrose is largely expendable in the main event scene. That's not a positive sign for the 'Lunatic Fringe', because he must point to the fact that he's one of the most popular babyfaces on the entire WWE roster at the moment.
