1. Returning Superstar
Half the fun of the Royal Rumble are the surprise entrants. While the novelty superstars are always fun to mark out too, it is those who return with a genuine chance of winning which really cause a stir, such as Cena returning in 2008 at number 30 or Edge returning from injury in 2010 at number 29, both going on to win it. Superstars that could be included this year are the likes of Christian and Mark Henry, who have both been kept quiet of late despite being supposedly fit to return. One of the former World Heavyweight Champions could feasibly return at the Rumble to take the win. A more left-field option is Jack Swagger. Swagger disappeared from the WWE in 2012, yet has not been released, and no news of an injury or wellness policy violation has come out. Swagger is a phenomenal athlete and wrestler, but his character and personality were awful. Could it be that the WWE took him from the TV in the hope people would forget about him, so they could repackage him and return him with an impact? Where better to make a big impact than at the Rumble? Superstars such as Evan Bourne could return too, along with recently injured superstars such as Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio. Then there are wrestlers such as John Morrison, released from the WWE in 2011, who could potentially make their big return. The beauty of the Royal Rumble is that anything could happen, and anyone could come out on top as the last man standing. That is what makes it one of the most unique and unmissable events on the WWE calendar. Who do you think stands a chance of winning the Royal Rumble 2013? Do you agree or disagree with those Superstars named here? Somebody else you think might have a chance of winning? Comment below.
