WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Questions & Answers

2. What Will Be The Best Match On The Show?

Daniel Bryan The safe bet is the Royal Rumble match as the answer to that one. Traditionally speaking, the Rumble match is usually very good. The Rumble match that was the best booked took place in 1992 when Ric Flair won the vacant WWE Title after winning that match. Some other great ones have taken place too with years like 2001 (won by Steve Austin) and 2007 (won by Undertaker) standing out to me. This year's Rumble match is not the most star studded Rumble ever because guys like Cena, Orton, Lesnar and Big Show are not expected to be in it. There's likely not going to be Undertaker or Triple H in it either. In terms of names it might be lacking a bit, but I think it should be an awesome match. The best performers in the company right now are Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. Anything they're involved in is usually good. Throw in the return of Batista, the rise of Bray Wyatt, the inevitable interaction between The Shield members as they are about to burst at the seams and of course the possible surprises. All of those factors will make the Rumble as special as it usually is. The only other confirmed matches are Orton/Cena and Lesnar/Show. As mentioned earlier the Orton/Cena finish will be key while Lesnar should dominate Show in impressive fashion. I don't expect either match to be a match of the year contender, but as long as they get the right amount of time (at least 15 minutes each) they should be very good in terms of quality.
