WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 10 Biggest Rumours

9. Diamond Dallas Page Enters Royal Rumble Match

Diamond Dallas Page's contributions to the world of sports-entertainment. One of the biggest stars in WCW during the height of the Monday Night Wars, Page was loyal to the company, joining Sting and Lex Luger in the battle against the New World Order. Beyond the ring, he took it upon himself to save the lives of two industry icons in Jake "the Snake" Roberts and Scott Hall, moving them into his home, keeping them clean and sober, and guiding them to a healthier lifestyle via DDP Yoga.

Now, according to a report by PWInsider.com's Elite section, by way of WrestlingInc.com, Page is a favorite to enter the Rumble as a surprise entrant.

It has been 13 years since Page wrestled an official match for the company. A neck injury suffered in 2002 not only brought his stint with WWE to an end, it culminated one of the most unexpected and unlikely careers in wrestling history. At least for two years.

A return to the spotlight would give Page the opportunity to leave a more lasting impression on fans than a midcard rivalry with Christian in the spring of 2002 did, something the Hall of Fame-worthy talent is most deserving of.

Unfortunately, an early week update to the original report indicates that a Page appearance in Sunday's marquee match is unlikely.

A second report, issued by PWInsider.com by way of WrestlingInc.com, states that Page will be in Park City, Utah, for the premier of a Jake Roberts documentary film, which he had a hand in producing. That will keep him on the other side of the country from Sunday night's pay-per-view and thus, out of the 2015 Royal Rumble.
