WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Might Return
8. He's Done It Before
A return to WWE's first pay-per-view of the year would be nothing new to The Undertaker. He made the most dramatic of returns at the Royal Rumble in 2006 when he made Kurt Angle the target of one of his mystical attacks. The Olympic gold medalist had just defeated Mark Henry in a short bout for SmackDown's World Heavyweight Championship when Taker's 'bong' hit. In his first appearance since the previous month's Armageddon PPV, The Undertaker signalled that he wanted Angle's belt and sent a bolt of lightening that snapped the ropes and collapsed the ring. The pair would then battle it out for the world title at the following month's No Way Out where Angle came out on top.
