WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Might Return

5. Insider Speculation

The Undertaker is one of those stars that wrestling journalists can never get any inside information on, and this is certainly ringing true today. It's a testament to Taker's professionalism more than anything else. You're forever hearing of speculation surrounding certain angles involving other members of WWE's upper card but you almost never hear of WWE's plans for its former locker room leader. Maybe this is down to something that Vince McMahon likes to call 'millennials'. Taker comes form a period where the secrecy of the business was paramount. The majority of fans still thought the product was real while the wrestlers lived the angles that played out on TV in their day-to-day lives. The heels travelled with the heels and the babyfaces travelled with the babyfaces. Of course, there has been plenty of speculation about a return at WrestleMania XXXI but almost none about a return on January 25. The only rumour that has surfaced comes from Bill Heyland of PW Network. Heyland reports that WWE are planning to plant the seeds for animosity between Sting and The Undertaker. Allegedly, The Stinger and The Deadman have been included on a list of entrants for the main event of Royal Rumble. PW Network have been led to believe that Sting will be the one to topple the Taker over the ropes which will plant the animosity that will spill over to Wrestlemania 31. This seems a little farfetched but only time will tell.
