WWE Royal Rumble 2016 Spoilers: 10 Things To Expect Tonight
7. Alberto Del Rio To Defeat Kalisto
The rumour mill suggests that Vince McMahon isn't convinced by Kalisto. As good as the high-flying masked man is, he looks to have achieved as big as win as he's ever going to get in WWE by defeating Alberto Del Rio a few weeks ago on Raw. On the following Smackdown, he subsequently lost the WWE United States Title back to his Mexican counterpart. Not exactly an incredible four-day reign. Kalisto will be allowed to look competitive at the Royal Rumble, as it would be foolish for him to be squashed by Del Rio at this point. However, it's impossible to picture him once again winning the belt. Reports online state that John Cena was originally ear-marked for the match against Alberto, but injury to WWE's poster boy has forced officials to install Kalisto in as his last-minute replacement. If WWE are interested in keeping the story going after the Rumble, they could book the League Of Nations to interfere and cost Kalisto the match. This only makes Del Rio look like a bigger dirt bag, which is something the company have shown they favour when it comes to heels recently.
