WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 10 Shocks That Could Happen
3. A Stunning Elimination
In 2002, one of the most shocking eliminations in Royal Rumble history took place when Tough Enough season one winner Maven sent The Undertaker packing with a dropkick. Though the elimination didn't quite send Maven skyrocketing (WWE didn't capitalize on his momentum properly, and he wasn't particularly good anyway), it could have theoretically been a springboard for him.
This year's Rumble will be one of the most star-studded in history, with Goldberg and Brock Lesnar already confirmed and The Undertaker, Randy Orton, and Seth Rollins all expected to compete in the bout. With all that in mind, why not try to use the Rumble to establish an up-and-coming star who could benefit from a huge elimination?
It's a given that either Goldberg will eliminate Brock Lesnar or vice versa, in order to build up to a match at WrestleMania. More than likely, the eliminated star will come back and toss out his foe, but does that really do anything for anyone? If Apollo Crews were to toss out Lesnar after "The Beast" throws out Goldberg, it could be the best thing to happen in his WWE career.
