WWE Royal Rumble 2017: 22 Best Internet Reactions To Randy Orton's Win

4. The Rumble Ruined A Good Show

For any good PPV, you really want the main event to be the main attraction and the most memorable take-away when the crowds disperse. If the other matches on the undercard get attention and praise, that's no bad thing, but all focus must be on the main event - particularly when it shares a name with the PPV. So WWE are going to have to accept that they're taking an L on the event, because of the reaction to the finale.

Even if there is a movement to urge everyone to discount the Rumble...

...That is precisely the opposite of what WWE should have been aiming for. They should want their fans - the people who buy into their Network and buy house show tickets and merchandise - to be talking positively about the pay off. They should want everyone watching to be entertained in the moment, and not to be overly concerned with what is "best for business" if it's counter to that.

But at least there was some solace to be had for those who stayed on after the PPV ended, right??

Well, sh*t.
