It's surprising that Sami Zayn hasn't already been announced for this year's Royal Rumble, but it's surely right around the corner. WWE haven't done a whole lot with Sami since he defeated Kevin Owens at Battleground, but he has worked his way back into the spotlight in recent weeks, even if he has taken some major beatings along the way.

Zayn has become Braun Strowman's whipping boy, but at least he has a regular role again. It looked like Sami was lost for a while, and that's just not good enough for a man of his talents. His crowd reactions have definitely declined since the start of 2016, but Zayn remains a popular underdog and he has a tremendous amount of untapped potential as one of Raw's major players.

It's most likely that Zayn will provoke some kind of confrontation with Strowman in the match, and if recent evidence is anything to go by, this won't end well from him. Braun has beaten Sami from pillar to post in recent weeks, and he'll likely do the same if Sami crosses his path in San Antonio. Still, eliminating Braun would at least give Sami a measure of revenge for recent events.
