WWE's huge roster will likely limit the number of spots for surprise entrants this year, but here's one that'd get a great reaction.

Kurt Angle hasn't been seen on WWE programming since 2006. He's been constantly linked with a return since leaving TNA in January (most notably during the Brand Split's formation), but this has yet to materialise. In the interim, Kurt has kept himself moderately busy with the odd independent appearance here and there, and he refuses to rule-out the possibility of another WWE run every time he's interviewed.

If he's up to it, Kurt Angle is the absolute best surprise entrant that WWE could throw into the mix in 2017, and even if he's unable to parlay the appearance into a full-time run, Angle's return would set the year off to a great start.
