WWE Royal Rumble 2018: 7 Reasons To Be Fearful

5. The Shield Dynamic Is Gone

Cast your minds back to the excitement of seeing a full Shield reunion last October. The image of Roman Reigns standing alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose was a powerful one, so it's just a shame injuries have plagued the faction's comeback. Reigns going down with the mumps in November was bad enough, and now Ambrose is out for much of 2018.

Unfortunately, this means that Jason Jordan's push has been shoved onto The Shield. The thrilling dynamic we would surely have witnessed in the Rumble, including gang beatdowns, triple Powerbombs and some much-needed carnage, has given way to the possibility of Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins defending the Raw Tag-Team Titles.

If it wasn't evident, this feels like a poor substitute. Although true WWE couldn't do anything about Dean's injury, they didn't need to tack on the woefully uncool Jordan and have him sap The Shield's aura week-by-week. This has eliminated that pack of wolves feel to Reigns and Rollins overnight.
