WWE Royal Rumble 2018: Predicting 10 Biggest Spots

5. Return Of The King

Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but Neville returning as part of the 2018 Royal Rumble isn't completely out of the question.

'The King Of The Cruiserweights' has been absent since walking out on Raw in October. The last we heard is that talks between him and WWE broke down in November, and he's now stuck in limbo. He'll either be forced to sit out the rest of his contract, or he'll be brought back to television if he can strike a deal with his employers, likely involving a bigger push than that which he experienced on WWE's most pointless brand.

If he's ever going to return, January 28th is the perfect time to make it happen. Neville would receive a tremendous reception as a surprise entrant, and a strong run would ensure he leaves the PPV with bucketloads of momentum, setting him up for a major push on Raw or SmackDown. It'd be more than deserved after close to a year spent trying to drag the Cruiserweight division towards respectability, only to be usurped by Enzo Amore as WWE decided to build the group around his OTT personality.
