WWE Royal Rumble 2018: Predicting 10 Biggest Spots

6. Angle Replaces Jordan

Jason Jordan is finally clicking.

The current Raw Tag Team Champion's initial run as Kurt Angle's son was rough, but he's really putting the pieces together ahead of his inevitable heel turn. Jordan knows exactly what he's doing as a smug, obnoxious bell-end, blissfully unaware of how reviled he is, and he's drawing the kind of heat him and the company are looking for. Basically, everything's going swimmingly.

Jordan will inevitably double-cross his father - it's just a case of waiting for the next big story hook. That could come at the Rumble, as although he's scheduled to compete in a Tag Team Title match earlier in the evening, JJ should be included, as he has become a constant upper-midcard presence.

Perhaps he announces his Rumble participation ahead of the event, but gets "hurt" before the Rumble itself, leading to Kurt subbing himself in as a surprise replacement. The crowd would love it, and his Dad stealing his big moment should leave Jordan infuriated. This makes it an easy choice for WWE, and would amplify the duo's tension tenfold, though the date of their eventual showdown remains unclear.
