WWE Royal Rumble 2018: Predicting 10 Biggest Spots

3. Bryan Brings The House Down

Daniel Bryan's future is complicated. The SmackDown General Manager shall almost certainly wrestle again, but will still don't know whether it'll be for WWE or one of their competitors. His current employers have remained steadfast in their refusal to clear him to return, but with his Rumble odds shortening, and the Shane McMahon rivalry heating up, the event's timing is almost perfect.

His feud with Shane has to be going somewhere. The company have invested too much time into building tension to not give it a proper resolution, and at this point, anything other than Daniel's in-ring return will be a massive disappointment. Cynicism is understandable, though. WWE would be going against their own doctor's advice by sanctioning this, after all, but they won't want to lose him when his contract expires this summer, and may see this as a way of appeasing him.

Regardless of where he's working by the end of the year, Bryan's chances of once again competing inside a WWE ring have increased dramatically over the past few months. The Rumble is custom-built to deliver huge, building-shaking pops, and Bryan's unannounced comeback is the biggest that the company could conceivably pull off on January 28th
