Yes, the apparent hardest man in WWE will be part of the 2018 Royal Rumble, and yes, he's going to piss a lot of people off.

Shane McMahon is currently at his most intrusive. Expect WWE to throw him into the Rumble as a means of setting up a WrestleMania program, and for him to remain in the spotlight well into the year.

Having him screw Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in their WWE Title bout makes sense, but here's a terrifying thought: what if the company book him as the Rumble's iron man? It'd be met with widespread cynicism, and Shane's hardly a credible candidate, but such concerns haven't stopped WWE in the past. Worryingly, this disaster would be completely in-line with Shane's 2017 run.
