WWE Royal Rumble 2019: 8 Things WWE Got Right

4. Seth Rollins' Win

A quick look at the 30 names in the men's Rumble reveals that only Samoa Joe, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins were realistic winners. One could possibly squeeze a fresher face like Andrade or Aleister Black into that, but they were always dark horses more than outright favourites.

In the end, Seth won, and rightfully so.

Nobody worked harder for WWE in 2018 than Rollins. His tireless performances as Intercontinental Champion carried the Raw brand in Brock Lesnar's absence, and it's cool to see his efforts have been rewarded with a guaranteed 'Mania berth. This is a situation in which the chant, "You Deserve It" would be appropriate.

Seth does deserve it, and he's the most logical follow-up to Lesnar's matches with Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor. Together, if they're given time and have some kind of underdog story to work with, Rollins and Brock should tear the house down in New Jersey.
