WWE Royal Rumble 2019: Rating Each Entrant's Chances Of Winning

12. Dean Ambrose

Seth Rollins Dean Ambrose
WWE

Dean Ambrose has tailed off significantly over the past few months.

A well-executed heel turn was undone through the disappointing Seth Rollins feud, which yielded countless cringe-worthy promos and a wet fart of a TLC 2018 bout. Ambrose has since lost the Intercontinental Title, and now, with the Royal Rumble looming, current rumours have him facing a babyface EC3 at WrestleMania 35.

... great.

Tapping into his old Shield persona could've made Ambrose a compelling alpha-villain, but he's still an unfunny rodeo clown. This great performer deserves better. For now, however, his main event prospects are almost non-existent.

Chances: Slimmer than a pain-free Brexit.
