Royal Rumble 2021 just three days away yet WWE has announced less than half of the participants for the titular men's and women's matches.

31 of 60 spots remain. You might point to this as evidence of a lacklustre build - a product of WWE's lack of care, attention, and foresight in plotting the most intricate wrestling match in the world - and you'd partially be right. The build has been lacklustre, with entire hours of Raw and SmackDown passing without significant Rumble developments. Fireballs, Destroyer masks, Bill Goldberg, and Adam Pearce have all been prioritised over the pay-per-view's USP.

The lack of confirmed names is understandable and forgivable in 2021.

With the ThunderDome's digital dystopia potentially quelling the biggest pops and WWE reportedly planning a "scary" finish in the men's match, get ready for a unique Rumble experience. WWE may do away with surprise entrants entirely, given the obvious health concerns, but they've been included in this list regardless. What fun is the Rumble without an old favourite blowing the dust away?

And, you know, the usual array of midcarders...
