WWE Royal Rumble 2021: What's Next For The Night’s Losers?
1. Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy entered the Men’s Rumble at #5. After hitting a Whisper in the Wind on Sami Zayn and Ali, he soon fell victim to an RKO “outta nowhere” from which he didn’t fully recover. When Dolph Ziggler entered as #6, he threw Hardy’s carcass over the top rope for an easy elimination. ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ left the match by vaulting over the guardrails, seemingly for a lie-down.
Hardy is currently still in a rather listless feud with Elias and his goon Jaxson Ryker, though this perked up during the Raw following the Rumble, which saw Hardy team with a returning Carlito to beat the duo. The future of Hardy and Carlito as a team is uncertain – while the returning legend is in the best shape of his life, he is reportedly targeted for a production role in the company.
Hardy’s current other maybe-alliance with Ricochet looks promising. Though Jeff is a legend, he can still stand toe-to-toe with the best high-flyers of this generation, a list which is topped by Ricochet. The two would be an asset to the tag team division, and both have unresolved issues with The Hurt Business, WWE’s current hot stable.
