WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Spoilers: HUGE Last-Minute WWE Return Confirmed

A major name just inked a one-year WWE deal and will be at the Royal Rumble.

Ronda Rousey

Massive breaking news from The Wrestling Observer.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that none other than Ronda Rousey has signed a one-year deal with WWE and will return on tonight's Royal Rumble supercard in St. Louis. According to Meltzer's sources, Ronda was expected to be on Friday's SmackDown but was instead moved to the Rumble.

Rousey will also reportedly be on Monday's post-Rumble edition of Raw and will work a major program heading into WrestleMania 38. Further, Dave added that Rousey's 'Mania match will not be against Charlotte Flair.

That, and the Raw gig, means she's likely heading for a showdown with reigning Raw Women's Champ Becky Lynch this April. This is a one-on-one match that WWE has had in its back pocket for years, and it looks set to finally happen in 2022.

Ronda's contract apparently stipulates more dates than just the Rumble and 'Mania too. Obviously, the Raw appearance would feed into that, but it does look like Rousey will be showing up a ton during the road to AT&T Stadium.

This is big news that totally shakes up the favourites field for tonight's 30-woman Rumble.
