Even in the most "star-studded" Royal Rumble match ever, 1992 - which was actually out-drawn by the 1991 and even 1993 editions, which reads as one of those facts that can't possibly be right - several of those name acts didn't last long at all.

Ted DiBiase lasted just 1:18, Superfly Jimmy Snuka 2:27. While a lot of the star acts were dwindling as attractions, their brief cameos bring into focus a Rumble necessity: a lot of wrestlers need to perform as glorified litter for the genre to work.

That segues rather cruelly to Butch, sadly. He's one of the most talented performers in the entire company, but WWE might find the rage he'll fly into when he gets less than a minute quite funny.
