WWE Royal Rumble 2023: Predicting All 30 Entrants

28. Seth Rollins - #3

Seth Rollins has a tank like few others, can pull off a few blistering sequences so that the long and patient match doesn't collapse into complete tedium towards the end of the first third, and, as a top star, must be pacified. A long 'Iron Man' stint in which he is relied upon to carry the action and maintain the volume level - and to be a focal point - is one means of accomplishing that.

Cody will likely eliminate him, and Triple H might book that irritating but long-accepted tradition of Seth returning the favour. If so, hopefully, the fourth match is quickly arrived at on TV. Given Cody's write-off last year, it makes no sense not to do it, but a heavily built fourth match also risks making Cody feel like he's been back in WWE forever, as opposed to just three months onscreen.
