Royal Rumble season means surprise returns, huge debuts and a thrilling launch point for WrestleMania season that enchants both casual and hardcore fans alike. No pressure then, Triple H! WWE's head of creative has been around the Rumble since 1996, and likely watched before that as a fan, so he'll know all too well expectations are big for 2024.

People demand to be shocked. That's just the way of it, and that'll never change so long as the Rumble is a tentpole PLE on WWE's calendar. The good news is that Trips has a ton of choices to work with heading into the new year. He'll surely only need one or two surprises per Rumble match, but his options are rather exciting.

If (there's always an if) the promotion can pull off some of these shockers, then fans will leave Tropicana Field with beaming smiles on their faces. Everyone watching around the globe will know they've witnessed something special too.

One time outcast CM Punk has already been confirmed, so he's out of the running. These stars could fill the void and help feed the magic machine that WWE switches on between January-April every year.

Enjoy!

10. Jake Paul

Some diehard wrestling fans out there just punched their screens.

Logan Paul has been a sensation thus far in WWE, and it's surely only a matter of time before his brother fancies a slice of that pie for himself. The Paul siblings are smart businessmen - they've put together various money making schemes, so there's no reason why Jake couldn't muscle in on this pro rasslin' malarkey.

The easiest way for Jake to dabble would be by entering the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant who's only there to mimic his bro's success. That'd put even more heat on Logan, especially if both he and Jake bragged about stealing key spots on the Rumble card from hardworking WWE full-timers afterwards.

They'd be needling people with heel 101 banter, obviously, but it'd get a rise. Then, post-Rumble, Jake can stick around for a match or two. Dunno, maybe shove him on a card over in Saudi Arabia if that suits best. There's cash to be made!
