Triple H has the chance to book an in-ring showdown that's decades in the making. In fact, scratch that. For CM Punk, it's a lifetime in the making. He's dreamed about standing across a WWE ring from 'Stone Cold' since he was a little boy, and it could happen in the 2024 Royal Rumble.
WWE may well have some convincing to do first.
Steve Austin unthinkably returned for a match vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 though, and he's gone public about his admiration for Punk's work over the years. Maybe (just maybe) the 'Rattlesnake' would be tempted to train hard for a match vs. CM in the new year.
Failing that, Austin driving out on a Zamboni before hitting a few Stunners and downing some beers sounds like a party. The legend showed he can still deliver under the right circumstances vs. KO, so there's nothing stopping him from working a few more cameo roles.
