WWE Rumour: Old PPV Names Returning For Brand Extension 2016?
Are we set to see the return of some old classics?
World Wrestling Entertainment may have announced the date for the upcoming draft and brand split, but there remains a whole host of questions as to what the WWE landscape will look like afterwards. We still don't know what is going to happen with championships, and we still don't know what is going to happen with pay-per-views.
According to a 'Wrestlingleaker' on Reddit, a credible source if ever there was one, WWE will indeed be running two pay-per-views a month and will also be bringing back some old names in the process. The user posted a picture of what seems to be the WWE PPV schedule for the rest of the year, with Backlash and Clash of the Champions set for September, No Mercy and Hell in a Cell in October, Survivor Series in November and finally TLC and Roadblock in December.
It has been rumoured that WWE will be going with two PPVs a month in the wake of the split, but up until now this has been pure conjecture. It seems somewhat churlish to complain about too much wrestling, but two PPVs a month seems like too much. Bringing back old names would for sure be a good move however.
