WWE Rumour: Raw Returning To 2-Hour Format?!

A former WWE writer believes Triple H will soon scrap that third hour on Raw.

Ex-WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr believes it's only a matter of time before Monday Night Raw returns to a two-hour format.

Prinze Jr said, via his 'Wrestling With Freddie' podcast, that the "beginning of the Triple H era" will bring about sweeping changes to WWE's product. The actor/writer reckons one of the first major plays Trips will make is scrapping Raw's third hour and trimming the flagship show down a little.

What is he basing this on though? Well, Freddie recalled Hunter's comments on Steve Austin's WWE Network show in 2015 for one - there, 'The Game' outright said that he'd rather Raw was two hours because it's easier to write a two-hour show than a three-hour one.

Trips' good pal Kevin Nash has also been critical of the three-hour format recently, and Prinze Jr thinks the former Diesel might have an inside line to his pal's way of thinking. That, to him, means there's a good chance Triple H will do everything in his power to drop the pesky third hour.

That'll be easier said than done, of course, but it would tighten Raw up.
