With this year's WWE Money in the Bank PPV still fresh in the memory, the company used last night's SummerSlam event to announce when and where next year's MITB PPV will take place.

To take place on the weekend of 4 July 2022, the next Money in the Bank spectacular will emanate from Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium - as in, the one and the same venue as this past Sunday's SummerSlam. The 4 July date itself is actually a Monday, so one would expect the PPV to take place the prior Sunday or maybe even the Saturday.

On this news, WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan put out the following statement:

"Las Vegas, its residents and visitors have demonstrated that Vegas is the perfect city for our biggest events. Money in the Bank, an appropriately titled event for Vegas and one of our five annual tentpoles, will bring the WWE Universe back to Allegiant Stadium 4th July weekend of 2022."

Following on from Khan's comment, Allegiant Stadium's Chris Wright enthused:

"We were thrilled to host SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium. Its success continues to illustrate how the city of Las Vegas is uniquely positioned to host a variety of exciting and diverse sports and entertainment events. Partnering with the LVCVA team has been pivotal in bringing SummerSlam to the market and we are looking forward to collaborating with WWE on hosting Money in the Bank on July 4th weekend in 2022."

Tickets details for Money in the Bank 2022 are expected to be announced soon.
