WWE Sign 2 Australian Wrestlers
Could these two Australians be WWE NXT's next big things?
Two Australian wrestling stars have signed on the dotted line with WWE, according to PWInsider.
Matty Wahlberg and Steph De Lander are the latest set of recruits to join up with WWE in recent months, joining the likes of LA Knight, Zoey Stark, MSK and many more in heading over to NXT upon making their move official.
For those who aren't aware of the two Aussie sensations, Wahlberg began wrestling in 2017 after being trained up by Madison Eagles and New Japan Pro Wrestling's Robbie Eagles. The star, said to be one of the finest talents in the country, was also a contestant on the Australian version of Survivor in 2019.
De Lander was also trained by Madison Eagles, and she too began her career in the squared-circle in 2017. Since the current global health crisis gripped the planet, the star has been plying her trade in PWA, but has also appeared in the likes of SHIMMER, Black Label Pro, and IWA Mid-South.
It's looking as though WWE definitely has its eyes on a bright future going forward, with this latest batch of signings aiming to provide the company with the shot in the arm it's so desperately in need of.
