WWE Signs 8 New Wrestlers For NXT
Josh Briggs, Anthony Greene, and Brandi Lauren head the list of recruits.
Yesterday saw WWE officially unveil its latest group of NXT recruits, with eight new wrestlers joining the company's developmental programme.
Leon Ruff might be the name most familiar to WWE fans. Having broken out in EVOLVE over the past couple of years, the 24-year-old worked a number of enhancement spots for WWE earlier in 2020, appearing on Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and 205 Live. He is joined by fellow ex-EVOLVE wrestlers Anthony Greene, Josh Briggs, Brandi Lauren, Curt Stallion, and Joe Gacy.
Journalist Gary Cassidy previously reported Greene's signing back in August, while PWInsider confirmed Ruff's deal shortly after this. September brought news that Gacy, Briggs, Stallion, and Lauren had joined the promotion, though this is the first time WWE has unveiled any of these names.
Lauren has already made her WWE debut, joining Damian Priest in a hot tub following the big man's North American Championship win at TakeOver XXX on 22 August.
Rounding out the list of new additions are referee Jake Clemons and Jacob Kasper, a two-time NCAA All-American heavyweight wrestler.
Stallion and Briggs were both hit with allegations as part of the #SpeakingOut movement back in June.
