WWE SmackDown: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Nov 22)

1. Dean Ambrose Didn't Actually Do Much Damage To AJ Styles

JBL, Mauro Ranallo and David Otunga made a big deal out of the fact that Dean Ambrose interfered in SmackDown's headliner. Barred from the arena by Shane McMahon, Ambrose still intervened wearing a hockey jersey and tried to help James Ellsworth climb the ladder. Not everything was as it seemed here.

Primarily, Ambrose didn't actually score much offence on AJ. He did Clothesline the WWE Champion over the top rope, however Dean was then hit with a flying strike from the heel that took him out of commission. Afterwards, it was all about Ellsworth, he more than held his own against Styles.

Tipping AJ from the top of the ladder, Ellsworth then hit his 'No Chin Music' Superkick on Styles and left the champ tied up in the ropes. From there, the underdog managed to scale the ladder and yank down his WWE contract.

JBL went nuts on commentary, claiming that Ambrose had cost AJ Styles big time. Scratch the surface of the finish and it's clear to see he didn't really, Ellsworth won the match pretty much on his own. Styles had managed to deal with Dean's distraction before losing.
