Kane made his debut as a character at In Your House: Badd Blood on October 5, 1997. Come the same month next year, that will mark 20 years since the 'Big Red Machine' first stormed onto WWF/WWE television, ripped the door off the Hell In A Cell structure and hit The Undertaker with a Tombstone Piledriver.

Since then, Kane has covered an awful lot of ground. There isn't much the big man hasn't achieved in the company, his career under that guise has spanned multiple decades. Therefore, JBL's approach on announce duties come the latest episode of SmackDown was interesting to say the least.

A throwaway comment designed to sell the idea that Kane is a veteran in WWE, the commentator butchered his line. Saying that Kane has been involved in 'around a decade of chaos', JBL unintentionally undersold the length of tenure that the masked man has put in to the promotion.

JBL didn't correct himself and the announcers quickly moved on to discussing Kane's match with Bray Wyatt. Not a huge error, but it definitely downplayed Kane.
