WWE SmackDown's HUGE Attendance Number Revealed

WWE can rightly consider SmackDown's live crowd numbers a big success.

WWE fans returned to the stands in a big way for Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Michael Cole announced right at the top of the show that a whopping 14,496 people were in attendance for the card - some might scoff a little at that, because 15,000(-ish) was once the norm at WWE events, but that number sounds pretty damn special after a year of whirring fans at the Performance Center and ThunderDome LED screens.

It's actually a tad surprising that WWE didn't have Cole go all the way and announce 15,096, or something like that. Vince McMahon's usual practice is to embellish, and it must've been tempting to break that 15,000 mark live on FOX.

WWE decided against that, presumably because they're beaming with pride over the shoot figure anyway.

SmackDown was the company's 'go home' TV episode before Sunday's Money In The Bank pay-per-view. The Toyota Center in Houston was visibly packed too. It looked incredible on camera, and that presentation was helped along by WWE's giant new tron.

Screaming fans are back on WWE programming again, and that feels great to type. Roll on MITB.
