WWE Spoiler: Kane Or Big Show To Become New WWE Champion?

The WWE live event for the day after next week's Monday Night Raw has been updated to state that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. You can see the change here under 'event information'. This could be an indicator that the Title announcement due on Raw will indeed be an angle in which Daniel Bryan is stripped of the championship due to his neck injury. As a result we could see Kane crowned the Champion, with the main event for the Tuesday 20th May Sheffield show now being a WWE title match in which Kane and Big Show face off. It doesn't make sense for Big Show to be handed the title, so that only leaves Kane (who has been the number one contender) to take up the champion spot in the match. That is unless it's a match for the vacant title, with some suggestion on Wrestling Observer Radio that a vacating of the belt could lead to a title tournament with the new winner crowned at Payback. It could be the case that the arena advertising is simply a mistake. Maybe the title won't be on the line. However, with this deliberate event change coming the day after the title announcement booked for Raw, many will now be speculating that the belt is about to be taken off of Daniel Bryan. Given that Bryan is out for up to 8 weeks it is in some ways understandable. One concern though is that after weeks of being made to look weak on television, if Bryan was to lose the title now it could be a killer blow to his character integrity. You only need to look back at Chris Benoit or Rey Mysterio to see how sensitively an underdog character needs to be represented.
